A week or so ago I finished what was a fairly arduous round of editing on Sleepwalk City, the follow up to Blood on the Motorway. It’s now ready to go to my wonderful editor, who’ll have the unenviable task of polishing it until it no longer quite so resembles a turd.
Editing is one of the parts of writing I least enjoy. Hell, it’s easily the worst, right up there with pins under the fingernails and having to watch children’s tv for more than two hours. I do know some writers who actually enjoy the editing process, but then there are people out there who like dressing up as babies and being spanked, so there are all kinds of people.
Anyway, to reward myself for finishing the arduous task, I decided to give myself a few weeks off writing, and turned myself to something that I’ve been putting off for some time: This website. For the past week I’ve been tinkering and tweaking and poking about and look, isn’t she pretty?
The blogs have had a bit of an overhaul, and you’ll see links there on the right to go buy the books, as well as a more uniform look. The blogs each have little logos now. Aren’t they cute? There’s now proper pages for each book, and I’ve polished the main page a bit so you can now see the books in fancy 3d graphics, because we all know that’s what shifts the units. The chances are that if you’re reading this on a mobile everything is kind of shunted to the bottom, but then it’s never going to look 100% amazing on a mobile.
Anyway, I know it’s not really of huge consequence or interest to anyone, but I thought since it’s all shiny and new, I should tell people about it.
Blood on the Motorway – An apocalyptic tale of murder and stale sandwiches, is available on Amazon, iBooks, Kobo and more besides.
